it ran very slowly, if you're going to make something like this make it VERY fast paced to keep the attention on the screen and not from the little (x) in the corner

ok 4 turned otu great, i mean swell but, ur quality of jokes and even the praphics dropped in this 1, u jsut traced bitmap like bloody crazy, and it just doens't look good with the rest of the style.

If you maintaned ur quality of humor i would not have docked u any points but i didn't even smile, good try

Did I trace bitmaps? All the backgrounds are the same as old episodes (the outside of the house from Ep.3, the houses across the street seen through the windows of Ep.2) except for the ones I did anew in flash.

I advise that you watch the episodes for themselves, not so much in comparison of one another. Each one has something different to offer - it is too bad if you did not like it, because I try to make them genuine in and of themselves. But you can't win 'em all, right? Hope the next big release treats you right :D I promise it's going to be great for Blockhead fans and newcomers alike.

Thanks for the review though! Even a 7 makes me think that you like the series, if not this episode. I'm thinking you'll like the year's conclusion to Blockhead/

wat cell shader did you use, is there one built in to maya? if there is i haven't found it

There is in Maya 7, but I made this in Maya 6 (actually, back then might've even been 5). I just contstructed it myself. It's really not that hard with a little knowledge of shading networks. Make a ramp shader, and under color, set the input value to brightness. Set the Interpolation from linear to none, and put about 4 colors in, from black at the very left end, to a few shades of the color, to white or a bright color at the right end. optionally omit the whole white and black parts. Adding an edge is a little more complex, but not that hard if you know what you're doing. Make another ramp shader, change the color's input value to facing angle, and make the color all black. Just one black. Then go down to transparency and make it so that the transparency is all the way at white when you're facing it, and black when it's facing almost 90 degrees from the camera, this will create the black edge only at edges from a certain angle, like a drawn edge (although I didn't use that in this particular movie, it works well). Then, use a layered shader to put the outline on top of the cel shader.

u can't pass this off, none of it's ur work. u jsut got some of his old clips some pictures and put them together, NOW if u had animated those , would of passed. good to see another fan tho

I edited a bunch of audio clips to put this together, unless I am Mitch, of course this isn't my work. This is only a tribute to Mitch Hedberg who will always rock on as the best comic that ever lived. (I am not trying to pass this off as my work - I only put this together)

Don't use a 3d Software like Maya on New Grounds

first off putting it in a swf. format makes the filsize excede the limit, it's a 2d animation site, and for the luv of god turn down ur refractions on retracing (to much glare)

I wanted it to be extremely reflective (not refractive, you got it wrong). It's the future, I thought everything should be all chrome. Plus, it's not a 2d animation site. It's an animation site. I don't see anywhere where it says it has to be 2d. Also, putting it in an swf didn't really make the size bigger. Thanks for the review.

eh i always prefered maya over swift 3d

good combo tho, although it was mostly swift, the 2d character animation was nice. the sound really bothered me tho , not as bad as some but defiently sub par, make it better and you'd have something memerable

Yeah... i'll have to try another program like maya if i want to continue 3d. 3d mesh editing feels impossible in swift, though i haven't tried any other 3d programs, and might just not know what i'm doing.
